Building Our Modern Farmhouse, a beautiful home, in rural South Africa

Building a modern farm house in rural South Africa has been a dream of mine for quite some time. The idea of having a spacious, comfortable home on a large piece of land, surrounded by nature, has always appealed to me. And now, after much planning and hard work, that dream has become a reality.

My new farm house sits on almost 10 acres of land, surrounded by beautiful countryside. It has 5 bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, providing ample space for family and guests.

One of my favorite features of the house is the sunroom. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural light and views of the surrounding countryside. The dining room is also a great space for entertaining, with ample room for a large table and comfortable seating.

The kitchen is the heart of the house, and mine is no exception. It's equipped with all the modern amenities, including a large island, pantry, and plenty of counter space. The laundry room and mudroom are also conveniently located on the main floor, making it easy to keep the house clean and organized.

The formal living room is a lovely space for more formal gatherings and has a cozy fireplace. The pajama lounge is perfect for relaxing and watching TV after a long day.

Upstairs, there is a loft, reading nook, and family room. The loft is a great space for the kids to play, and the reading nook is a perfect place to curl up with a good book.

The veranda and braai area are great for outdoor entertaining. The veranda is a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine, and the braai area is perfect for hosting a barbecue.

The 2-car garage is a great addition for keeping vehicles safe and out of the elements. The front porch is a welcoming feature, perfect for enjoying the views or just relaxing.

Finally, the pool is a great feature for those hot summer days. It's the perfect place to cool off and enjoy the beautiful South African sunshine.

Overall, building this modern farm house in rural South Africa has been an incredible experience. It's a place where I can truly relax and enjoy all that nature has to offer while being surrounded by all the modern amenities. I can't wait to make many happy memories here with my family and friends.
